The rules of CUSP

Who can use CUSP

CUSP is invite-only for now. You need an invite to make an account, and the account is for you alone. Keep access to your email safe, because anyone who can open your email can sign in as you.

You must be at least 13 years old to use CUSP. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16.

In these terms, “we” and “us” mean [legal entity name], which runs CUSP.

The game, points and prizes

CUSP is for fun. You draft creators, make HOT and COLD calls, and earn points when your picks grow. Scores, prices, points and ranks are game numbers. They are not money, they have no cash value, and you cannot buy, sell or trade them.

CUSP is free during the beta. We take no payments and ask for no card. The “Go Pro” screen shows tools that may come later, and its button does nothing today. If we ever charge for anything, we will say so clearly before you pay, and new terms will cover it.

Scores come from public follower counts that we collect once a day. Those counts can be late, missing or wrong. We may correct a score, rescore a week, or change how the game works while CUSP is in beta. When a change affects a contest in progress, we will try to be fair to everyone in it, and our decision is final.

What you post

Your display name, bio, links, profile picture, calls, call screenshots and Scout Takes are yours. When you post them, you give us permission to store them and show them to other people using CUSP, for as long as they stay on CUSP. You can edit your profile at any time in Settings.

Only post things you have the right to post. Screenshots you attach to calls should show a public profile and nothing private, such as your messages. Your takes are your own opinions about public creators. Keep them about the creator’s public work and numbers.

Acceptable use

When you use CUSP, do not:

• harass, threaten or bully anyone, including the creators on CUSP;
• post anyone’s private information, such as a home address or phone number;
• post sexual content involving minors, hate speech, or anything illegal;
• pretend to be someone else, or make more than one account;
• share your invite or account so that someone else can play as you;
• use bots, scripts or scrapers on CUSP, or copy its data in bulk;
• try to get around the invite gate, break our security, or read data that is not yours;
• use a bug to win a contest (tell us about it instead, and we will thank you).

We may remove content that breaks these rules. We read reports, but we do not check everything that is posted.

Creators on CUSP

CUSP shows public information about public creator accounts, such as follower counts and profile pictures. A creator appearing on CUSP does not mean that the creator endorses CUSP, works with us, or knows about the game. What scouts say about a creator is the scout’s opinion, not ours.

No affiliation

CUSP is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, TikTok or X. Their names and logos belong to their owners, and we use them only to say where a creator posts.

Ending your account

You can stop using CUSP at any time. To delete your account, email us at [contact email] from the address you sign in with. The privacy policy explains what we delete and when.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or puts CUSP at risk. When we can, we will tell you why. We may also change, pause or shut down CUSP, or any part of it. If we shut CUSP down, we will try to give notice in the app first.

Disclaimers and limits

CUSP is a beta. We provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always work, that it will be free of mistakes, or that its numbers are accurate. Nothing on CUSP is financial, business or career advice. The words “price” and “gains” describe the game, not a real market.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, that come from using CUSP. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim about CUSP is limited to US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here takes away rights that the law gives you and that a contract cannot remove.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as CUSP grows. When we do, we change the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using CUSP after a change, the new terms apply.
